Youth Leader Team Training


THREE SLOTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS SPECIAL OFFER

Just because you attended the MYM LIVE Heather is offering to lead your teams through two training sessions from key concepts found in her book FOR FREE. There are three slots available for these FREE team trainings. The first three youth leaders to sign up and register be given this great opportunity. For those that don’t sign up in time, you’ll be put on a waiting list.

Here are some possible topics for your group trainings.

Option 1: Building Community: In this workshop we’ll talk about the different

practices in the first century that help us create deeper community- focused on love,

togetherness and the deepening of relationships.

- Learning how to “do life together” with our students

- The Jewish idea of community

- A first century focus on learning and study in the context of community

Option 2: Growing Student Leaders: In this workshop we will discuss the Jewish

educational system. The Jewish view of Scripture. The calling of the disciples and look at

some of the Fuller Youth Institutes research on creating a community of keychain

leadership.

- The first-century methods of discipleship

- The age of the disciples

- The calling of the disciples

- How to build a community of keychain leaders

Option 3: An Invitation to Sabbath: This workshop will focus on creating a rhythm of

sabbath within your own life so that you can lead from a place of health and rest. It will

also teach you some ways to be more present, have less on your youth ministry calendar

and maximize your time with students better.

- The Sabbath as a foundation for rest

- How to create a rhythm of Sabbath in your life

- How to teach your students the power of rest and togetherness

- How to maximize your time together, by not doing more, but being more present

Option 4: Church as Family: This workshop invites you to create a family atmosphere

within your youth ministry by understanding the heart and needs of a hurting teen. We

will also discuss the Jewish idea of discipleship/mentorship as apprenticeship.

- The importance of uniting the generations of the church

- Mentorship as apprenticeship within the family of God

- Helping you meet the needs and understanding the heart of today’s hurting

teenager
