We will explore the first-century passion for Torah and learn how to study the Bible from a middle eastern perspective.
Module 1: The disciple’s passion. What would it have been like to walk with a rabbi? What kind of commitment would it have taken?
Module 2: The Key to the Kingdom. What was the age of the disciples and what did Jesus mean from a first-century perspective when he said “Go and make disciples.”
GROW.
We will teach you a number of first-century principles that will help you grow as a youth leader and grow closer to your students.
Module 3: Doing Life Together. The importance of community and mentorship in Judaism.
Module 4: Teach Like a Rabbi. What were some rabbinical teaching methods that we can apply to our youth ministry settings today?
WALK.
We will walk alongside you, teaching you what it meant to be a first-century disciple
Module 5: Reclaiming Discipleship. Understanding Jesus from His first-century jewish context.
Module 6: Transformed by the Torah. A deep dive into the Jewish educational system and a first-century jews commitment to the study of Torah. We’ll provide you with the tools and resources to keep growing in the Jewish roots of your faith.
Module 7: The Heart of Sabbath Rest. Every youth worker needs to understand the value that lies behind the heart of the Jewish practice of the Sabbath- rest with God.
